Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu have reunited for the much-awaited “Akhanda 2: Tandavam.” The movie is set for a worldwide release on December 5, 2025, in both 2D and 3D formats. At a press conference, Samyuktha heroine shared her experience working on this high-voltage entertainer and spoke at length about her role, challenges, and co-stars.
On being one of the busiest actresses in Telugu cinema:
“I’m happy. After Virupaksha, I got many offers, but I’m choosing films selectively. I had signed Bimbisara, Virupaksha, Sir and Bhimla Nayak around the same time, and their releases happened at different intervals. Later came Swayambhu, Nari Nari Naduma Murari, and then Akhanda 2. After that, I did Puri Jagannadh garu’s film. I pick stories based on content. If the audience likes what I do, that’s my biggest joy.”
On landing Akhanda 2:
“Boyapati garu narrated the story, and I immediately wanted to do it. My team initially said there were no dates, but I told them to adjust somehow. Boyapati garu’s vision is extraordinary.”
On her character and mass song:
“My character plays a crucial role in an important sequence. It’s a very stylish role. Boypati asked me to do a mass song, and I was extremely nervous because I’ve never done something like that before. After two days of rehearsals, my knees gave up! I took physiotherapy and pushed myself because my final goal is to entertain the audience.”

On working with Balayya:
“Balayya garu is incredibly friendly. I first met him during an ad shoot, and he spoke to me like he’d known me for years. He’s a director’s actor. He does exactly what the director wants.”
On viral memes from a Vizag event:
“Yes, I saw them! I saved every meme. When I showed them to Balayya garu, we laughed so much. Memes cannot be planned. They just happen.”
Favorite Balayya film:
“I love Daku Maharaj. It’s my favorite and did extremely well in Kerala too. I’ve also seen Akhanda.”
On doing many mythological films:
“These offers are coming to me organically. It’s not something I planned.”

On spirituality:
“Yes, I’m spiritual. But that’s a deep topic. We need a separate interview just for that!”
On the Telugu film industry:
“Telugu audiences are next level. Their celebrations on the first day itself are like an audit. If they celebrate, we know the film is a success.”
Upcoming films:
“I’m doing an action role in Swayambhu. 2026 will see me in films like Swayambhu, Nari Nari Naduma Murari, Puri Jagannadh’s film and more.”
