A year after its debut as a concept, the Kia EV2 will make its debut as a production model on January 9 at the Brussels Motor Show 2026. Teaser photos of the car show the production-ready EV as a slim concept, featuring almost unchanged proportions from the concept, which looked pretty close to production from the outside.

The teaser suggests that the split headlamp design will be retained in the production EV2, with the lighting elements arranged horizontally rather than vertically as seen in recent split-headlamp designs. There are two vertically stacked LED daytime running lamps on either side, whose outer units also integrate the main headlamp units. At the rear, the low-set tail lamps carry the design forward from the concept.

Other design elements include the use of cladding around the wheel arches, a large front bumper and a prominent rear haunch.

The design of the cabin is under wraps for now, though we expect it to share similarities with its other models, such as a floating dashboard, minimal physical buttons on the center console and a dual standing display for the instrumentation and infotainment.
As mentioned in previous reports, the EV2 is set to be Kia’s smallest EV available for sale worldwide, slotting below the EV3. This EV may share some of its powertrain elements with the EV3.
