At present Indian Cricket (Indian Cricket) atmosphere is very heated. Team India is struggling with consecutive defeats on the field and criticism from fans outside. In this sequence, three main topics have now become a hot topic in social media. Trolling on chief selector Ajit Agarkar, Akash Chopra’s questions on Gautam Gambhir’s decisions, and Ravi Shastri’s support for Rohit-Virat… these are the debates going on in cricket circles right now.
Bitter experience for Agarkar: ‘Team Destroyer’, fans fire
Team India Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar had an unexpected bitter experience on his birthday. As he celebrated his 48th birthday on December 4, BCCI sent out wishes on social media. However, fans were furious after India suffered back-to-back series defeats in New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa.
With this, the comment section was filled criticizing Agarkar. He was trolled by calling him “Team Destroyer” and was angry that he had destroyed the team and was trying to sideline the seniors. Netizens are outraged that the team’s performance has fallen badly under Gambhir and Agarkar.
Is Siraj useless for ODIs? Akash Chopra who dethroned Gambhir
On the other hand, after India’s defeat by South Africa in Raipur ODI, former cricketer Aakash Chopra raised key questions about the team’s management. In particular, he expressed his surprise on keeping star bowler Mohammed Siraj (Mohammed Siraj) aside from ODIs.
“Is Siraj limited to Test matches only? Why has he disappeared from ODIs? I don’t understand it at all. He has been made a one-format player,” criticized Akash Chopra. He faulted Gautam Gambhir’s strategy saying that Siraj is being sidelined only in the name of rest and this is not the right decision.
Don’t mess with them: Ravi Shastri’s warning on Rohit, Virat
Former coach Ravi Shastri strongly responded to the criticism coming against Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who are seniors in the team. Shastri responded to the news that efforts are being made to remove both of them from the team.
“Don’t mess with them. They are white ball legends. If their mind changes, if the switch is on… all those who try to win them will have to run away,” said Shastri. Shastri concluded that despite their record in Australia and in ODIs, the critics should shut up and the team needs their services till the 2027 World Cup.
All in all, Indian cricket is now at a critical juncture with World Cup preparations on the one hand and uncertainty over the future of the seniors on the other.
