Two much-awaited motorcycles in India, the BMW F 450 GS and the Brixton Stor 500, will now miss their scheduled debut at India Bike Week 2025. Both models were initially expected to debut at the annual motorcycle festival, but the dates and venue remained uncertain for weeks. Now, soon after finalizing the IBW schedule for December 19-20 in Panchgani, two major participants have refused to showcase their new models at the event.

BMW’s F 450 GS, jointly developed with TVS and made in India, was showcased globally at EICMA 2025. Earlier many reports had indicated that this motorcycle will be launched in IBW. However, we have learned that BMW Motorrad is now preparing for an India launch in January 2026, and deliveries are expected to begin from February 2026.

TVS and BMW have started manufacturing the India-made F 450 GS at TVS Motor Company’s Hosur plant. The motorcycle will be the new entry point into BMW’s adventure lineup, replacing the discontinued G 310 GS.

The Brixton Stor 500 has also been dropped from the original plans to launch in India. Parent company Motohouse has confirmed that its display will not take place at IBW 2025, and a revised launch date has not yet been decided. This motorcycle, which was showcased for the first time at the global headquarters of Motohaus in Austria, is now likely to come to India in 2026.

Motohouse also planned to re-introduce the FB Mondial to the Indian market at IBW. The historic Italian brand, famous for motorcycle racing, was preparing to make its comeback with the Piega 452, a streetfighter-style model that is already on sale in Europe. With the postponement of the Stor 500, the revised timeline for Mondial’s re-entry into India also remains uncertain, but is also expected to be in calendar year 2026.
