The all-new Nissan Kait compact SUV has made its world debut at an event in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Production is already underway at Nissan’s Resende-based facility in Brazil, and the model will be exported to over 20 countries from 2026. The Kait will be positioned against the Volkswagen Tera, Fiat Pulse, Hyundai Creta, Renault Kardian and Chevrolet Tracker in Latin America and other markets. As of now, there is no official confirmation about its India launch.
Nissan India has planned a C-segment SUV based on the third-generation Renault Dusterscheduled for launch in early 2026. The model will share its platform, features and powertrains with the new Duster, but will adopt a brand new design language. Its overall styling could be inspired by the Magnite and the newly-unveiled Nissan Kait.

How Big is it?
The Kait measures 4,30 metres in length and 1.76 meters in width and offers a wheelbase of 2.62 meters. The compact SUV provides a boot space of 432-litres along with what the company claims is “excellent interior space” and “a good level of equipment”. Nissan has updated its design, while retaining the original platform of the Kicks Play, which first debuted in 2016.
