The dual-motor version of the Tata Harrier.ev could soon get more affordable. According to a media report, the carmaker plans to introduce all-wheel drive in a lower trim. Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer at Tata Motors, said, “We have seen more than anticipated demand for the QWD variants. Thirty percent of our sales are coming from the QWD variants, so we will offer it on lower variants, too.” Currently, the Harrier.ev QWD is only available in the top-spec Empowered trim, priced at Rs 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata might offer the electric SUV in the mid-spec Fearless trim soon. The Harrier.ev QWD has a 235 BHP rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor and a 156 BHP induction motor powering the front axle. The electric SUV comes with a 75 kWh battery pack, offering a range of 627 km (MIDC cycle). Source:Autocar India
