BHPian kartik_2502 recently shared this with other enthusiasts: After 75,000 km, my Tata Safari still feels like a trusted travel companion. The 2.0-litre diesel engine hasn’t lost its smoothness, and it continues to pull confidently on highways without any fuss. What I enjoy most is the comfort-long drives are effortless thanks to the cushy seats and the stable, planted ride. The cabin has held up remarkably well, too: no rattles, no odd noises, and every feature works just as it did on day one. In 2.5 years of use (about 20% city and 80% highway), the SUV has remained solid and reassuring. Overall, it has been dependable, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable to live with. I recently completed the 75k service and had a very satisfying experience with the service center. I only visit at the 15,000 km intervals and have always skipped the 7.5k intermediate schedule. Other than regular servicing, the car has needed only one additional visit-for a brake oil change to a different grade, which was done free of cost under a TaMo recall. My average service bill comes to around 20,000 every 15k km. Both the service center and my local tyre shop mentioned that the current tyres should easily last another 15,000 km, which would take their life to around 90,000 km.
