More than six years after the launch of the original model, the second generation Kia Seltos will make its world premiere in India tomorrow, December 10. The Seltos has been central to Kia’s success in India, as it is the Korean carmaker’s first model in our market that not only garnered incredible interest initially, but has remained one of the most prominent names in the compact SUV segment over the years. With the second generation, Kia is expected to take it to a new level, as the second generation Seltos will have a completely different look, and it is expected to be more technologically advanced than before.
2026 Kia Seltos: What will change inside and out?
The ongoing promos have confirmed that the new Seltos will adopt a new design language that will clearly differentiate it from the attractive but dated first generation model.

Moving on from the controversial Ciros design, the new Seltos appears to be taking a more radical approach with its design and styling, which is likely to divide opinions. The reimagined ‘Digital Tiger Face’ will feature a gloss-black grille flanked by slim headlight units and vertical daytime running lights, with the outermost lighting elements also acting as turn indicators.

Vertical DRL will be present in the new Seltos
The promo also shows the Seltos’ new dual-tone alloy wheels, flush door handles and the glasshouse design like the existing Seltos. The slim, L-shaped tail-lights are joined by a full-width light bar that has a layout similar to the Carange Clavis, and overall the new Seltos seems to be heavily influenced by the new Kia Telluride that was launched a few months ago.
In the cabin also, many major changes are expected in the new Seltos with many new features as compared to the existing SUV. Some of the features confirmed in the promo include a large, panoramic sunroof, front parking sensors and 360-degree cameras.
2026 Kia Seltos: What will be the powertrain options?
There is no shortage of powertrains in the current Seltos, and it is quite likely that the same options will be available in the new generation Seltos as well. However, the big news is that Kia is set to offer a hybrid powertrain option with the Seltos, which will help it compete even better with rivals like the Toyota Hyrider and Maruti Suzuki’s Victorias and Grand Vitara.
2026 Kia Seltos: When will it launch?
Although it will be fully revealed tomorrow, the new Kia Seltos will probably be launched in early 2026. We expect Kia to announce the prices of the second generation Seltos in January, and start deliveries by the end of the same month.
