The suspense surrounding the release of “Akhanda 2” has finally ended. After days of uncertainty that left fans and trade circles anxious, production house 14 Reels Plus has officially announced the new release date: December 12, 2025.
“Akhanda 2” will have paid premieres on December 11 across India and overseas, followed by a wide theatrical release on December 12. The highly anticipated sequel was earlier scheduled to hit screens on December 4 but was postponed just hours before the debut due to financial hurdles and a legal suit from Eros International over pending dues. With negotiations completed and financial issues resolved, the makers have confidently moved forward with the new date.
The Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu duo has already delivered a hat-trick of blockbusters with Simha, Legend, and Akhanda. Expectations are sky-high for their fourth collaboration. The film deals with Sanathana Dharma and blends mass action elements.
Balakrishna will appear in three strikingly different looks.
Samyuktha plays the female lead, while Aadhi Pinisetty and Harshali Malhotra will be seen in key roles.
