After a long time, Bollywood is celebrating a massive box office success, with Ranveer Singh’s “Dhurandhar” lighting up the ticket counters. The film is inching towards the Rs 200 crore mark, thanks to strong Tuesday numbers.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, “Dhurandhar” released on December 5 and offers a thrilling mix of high-stakes action, gangster drama, and commentary on terrorism. Audiences praised Ranveer Singh’s layered performance and Akshaye Khanna’s chilling portrayal of the antagonist.
The film collected Rs 159 crore nett in India and over Rs 220 crore worldwide within just five days. Despite mixed critical reviews, the box office performance proves that it has connected well with its core audience.
A sequel to “Dhurandhar” is already planned and is expected to hit theaters on March 19, 2026. This marks Ranveer Singh’s first true blockbuster in seven years, after a series of average performers. With strong momentum, the film is expected to maintain its successful run into next week.
