BHPian abhi_tjet recently shared this with other enthusiasts:Some updates on Delhi Mumbai ExpresswayI travelled on DME for the first time – not counting the Bharuch – Vadodara patch. I did a road trip to Vrindavan and used the DME patch from Garoth till Dausa. The middle patch between Laban to Mandana is not at all stable. One can’t go above 80 kmph and the bridge joints which are multiple will shake the car to core. The traffic in areas where expressway ends abruptly has increased by leaps and bounds. These roads aren’t good enough for such huge traffic. It passes through some villages which also is a safety hazard. I was stuck at Laban for quite a while during my onward journey. In Mukundara tunnel section, coming down from Mandana, once you pass railway overpass, cars are allowed to take right while heavy vehicles need to go straight and join later from ChechatGaroth – Ujjain section is an expressway in itself with minimum traffic and visiting Mahakal from Delhi can’t get any more easier once these two patches are completed. The refreshment joint/food mall after Dausa near Aluda village opens up quite late. We were there at around 8:45 AM and it was still not open. Costa and Vaango then opened around 9 with limited menu. Kindly note. As of now, food mall is only toward Mumbai – Delhi direction. You need to walk via underpass for the same.Food mall at Garoth is good. It’s available both side.Few pics Toll plaza – Garoth, MP Food mall and parking Rest area with only washrooms Rest area near Aluda, you need to walk towards food mall available on other side. Petrol pump is present at both side though. Drive Safe! Check outBHPian commentsfor more insights and information
