BHPian Uncia6276 recently shared this with other enthusiasts: I have a 2016 Ertiga VDi – DDiS SHVS. Now at 85000kms, complete stock. 1.3 Multijet Fiat engine, 1 hell of a performer. Mumbai Western Express Highway, peak traffic, crawls in 1/2/3 gears without accelerator input, still managing 15++ kmpl. On the highway, 120 kmph is at 3000 rpm, this little beast can easily do 140 kmph whole day. Been Mumbai-Delhi-Mumbai atleast 14-15 times, mostly with 4 adults (sometimes with 6 adults), and 7-8 days of luggage. I am 5-10″, and I like my driving seat a little near the steering, with that, all 3 rows has reasonable (read adequate) leg-space. The 2nd sliding row, and the last row split, the space management is configurable/flexible. The Last row seat base is at adequate height (better than Innova), so you don’t sit with your knees pointing to the sky, and have good under thigh support. And the mileage, on long runs – 23kmpl. The New Ertiga, a little longer, and wider is another level. Does 90% of what Innova does. This vehicle from Maruti has killed many 7 seater competition (Renault Lodgy / Chevrolet Enjoy – a rear wheel drive 7 seater / Honda Mobilio. Its here to stay.
