Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav called on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at his residence in Jubilee Hills on Friday.

The meeting, described as a courtesy visit, focused on the latest political developments and governance initiatives in Telangana.

Mr. Revanth Reddy briefed Mr. Yadav on the development and welfare programmes being implemented by the TG government. Rajya Sabha member Anil Kumar Yadav, former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav, Ramagundam MLA Raj Thakur and senior Congress leader Rohin Reddy were present.

Mr. Yadav praised the Chief Minister for declaring Sadar, a festival cherished by the Yadav community, as an official State festival. He said that the gesture had deeply touched the Yadav community nationwide. “The Yadavs across the country will forever remember Revanth Reddy,” he remarked.

He also thanked the Chief Minister for giving strong political recognition and respect to the Yadav community in Telangana.
