Open road, no divider and the scooter rider happily overtaking vehicles. Upon seeing the incoming car from the opposite side, the rider tried to brake hard, and possibly had a wrong footing, causing the jerk and imbalance and the eventual fall. I felt there was enough space in-between for the scooter to pass without any issues, but hard braking and the sudden jerk caused the rider to fall. The scooter fell on the left hand side and its front tire came under the rear wheels of the truck. Fortunately, the rider fell on the right hand side, narrowly escaping the car passing by. The rider escaped from the vehicles from both sides and just walked away with no injuries. Lucky!! The helmet wasn’t tied properly, so it just came off the head, offering no protection whatsoever.
