One of the latest films released in the theaters this week is the movie “Mowgli 2025” directed by color photo director Sandeep Raj with young hero Roshan Kanakala and social media sensation Bandi Saroj. Let’s see how this movie is in the review.
Story:
In a small hill village called Parvathipuram, Murali Krishna, a boy known to the local people as Mowgli (Roshan Karthik Kanakala), dreams of becoming a policeman forever. He lost his parents in his childhood and takes care of his family in his village. Meanwhile, Varsha alias Jasmine (Sakshi), a mute and deaf girl who came to the village for a film shoot, falls in love at first sight. So what happened when Christopher Nolan (Bandi Saroj Kumar), a brutal police officer with a woman obsession, came into their love track? What were the challenges Mowgli faced in this sequence? What is lost? If you want to know whether your love wins in the end, you must watch this movie.
Plus Points:
It must be said that the four main characters have given solid performances in this movie. First of all, when it comes to Roshan Karthik’s Kanakala, it can be said that he has shown very good gestures as an actor in this movie. He especially got involved in the role of Mowgli, a wild boy. He showed the innocence of the character very well in his facial expressions. This emotion showed the actor well in Roshan.
Also young heroine Sakshi Mahadolkar also did well. She has done well in her unique role. Her chemistry with Roshan is also good. And the actor and public star Bandi Saroj also did not decrease at all. In this movie, he has shown the aspect of his character design and why he is in that role perfectly. Many people may have already seen the negative shade in him but in this the negative shade has also been worked out solidly. His screen presence and dialogue delivery in his intro and second half are very good.
Along with all of them, Viva Harsha had a good role. There are comedy scenes here and there and emotionally some scenes are good on him. Also, a sequence on him in the first half may be a good surprise for Prabhas fans. Along with them, the other actors have done everything well.
Minus Points:
The main problem in this movie is that the point that the director wanted to make was taken in a very stretched manner. It seems like the hero and heroine tracks are stretched unnecessarily. For the first few minutes the establishment seems decent but slowly things go very routine and drawn out without interest.
The same pattern will continue in the second half as well. In the second half, some scenes on Bandi Saroj have been taken, but the rest of the scenes are true, they remind the audience of Teja movies like You and Me. Also, actor Suhas portion also did not give much kick in this. The portions tried imitating the icon star did not look natural.
Along with these, Roshan still needs to focus on his acting. He has shown his innocence very well and seems to be controlling himself in some emotional scenes. Because of that, the impact is slightly reduced. If he overcomes this, he can see a better actor in the future.
Technical category:
The production values in this movie are good. It is remarkable that almost the movie is shot in real locations. Good scene to scene transitions are seen in the first half. The VFX are also decent. Kala Bhairava’s music is good. Editing should be better.
When it comes to director Sandeep Raj, he tried to give this film a treatment in the color photo range, but he could not make that much of an impact. He was able to get good performance from the main characters but the rest of the story was dragged out for the main point of the movie. Some scenes should be reduced and the story should be designed in a more gripping way and another version of the scenes on the lead couple should be tried in the second half, they are all the same as seen in Teja’s movies, so the novelty is missing.
Verdict:
Overall, Roshan has given a promising performance in this ‘Mowgli 2025’. He portrayed the innocence of his character very well. Also, Bandi Saroj also got a good role which he also cultivated well. A few scenes here and there seem okay but there is a need for a strong story and emotions. It would have been better if the director had done this correctly. So this film seems to be only somewhat okay.
