Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu unveiled ‘A Tale of Two States’, authored by senior journalist I. Venkata Rao, at his residence here on Monday. The book is an English translation of ‘Vileenam -Vibhajana’, translated by N. Anuradha.
The work chronicles the historic journey of the Telugu States from their unification to the eventual bifurcation into Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It also profiles all 22 Chief Ministers who have led these States, starting from Burugula Ramakrishna Rao to the present Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Originally well-received in Telugu, the author and translator expressed hope that this English edition will serve as a valuable resource for non-Telugu readers interested in the political and cultural history of the region.
Congratulating N. Anuradha for her efforts, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu remarked that the book would be an important reference for researchers and future generations.
I. Venkata Rao, N. Anuradha, writer and former IRS officer K. Chandrahas, and publishers I. Venu and I. Raghu were present.
