BHPian paragsachania recently shared this with other enthusiasts:Ownership Update: 12 Years, ~300,000 km & Zero RegretsSome decisions are tough, this one was extremely tough. After 12 years of absolutely fuss-free ownership where the Ertiga clocked 298,000 km on the odometer, we finally bid adieu to our faithful companion 2 weeks ago. While a detailed account of the ownership will follow in terms of describing the maintenance aspects till the last day, considering the fact that this thread provided periodic updates for the long-term ownership of the Ertiga, this short post hints at curtains down for yet another long-term ownership of my workhorse. While this will be pictorial, I will add more details subsequently. Sold to the True Value outlet of the same dealership where the Ertiga was originally purchased from – Surakshaa Car Care, Electronics City. With the dealership MD (in white) and good friend audioholic. The next owner is known to the dealership MD who expressed keen interest in buying my car. Few images captured one day before handing over the Ertiga to the True Value outlet. I always took keen interest in keeping the car clean, both externally and with the interiors and honestly, this was also one of the USPs. The odometer reading one day before we bid adieu: Removed Team-BHP stickers which were synonymous with the Ertiga:So what really replaces the MPV Ertiga? The itch to upgrade started 2 years ago but there was no real trigger to make that happen (even now). Further, there were no real choices or options that I was leaning towards to evaluate. It was clear on what I will upgrade to when time comes and that would be the most ideal replacement for the Ertiga. So there was no confusion nor deliberation regarding cars from any other stable. Few of you who have known me on and off the forum knew my choice anyway. Welcome home, Toyota Innova HyCross ZXO in Pearl White: Few buddies along with speedsatya, arun_josie and arun1100 were around to be part of the delivery too: The saga of 5728 continues as the HyCross too gets the same numeric part as all the cars that I have owned: Regarding the toughest question on why I couldn’t complete mere 1800 km to hit the 300k milestone before selling the Ertiga, let’s just say that everything including the timing of this purchase influenced this decison.Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
