Vijayawada: The Bhavani Deeksha Viramana at the Kanakadurga Temple concluded on a grand and well-organised note, drawing record crowds to Indrakeeladri. In response to the massive turnout, temple authorities announced plans to roll out comprehensive online services for devotees, modelled on the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), to ease darshan and allied facilities throughout the year.Temple executive officer Seena Nayak and Trust Board Chairman Borra Radhakrishna highlighted the success of the newly launched mobile application during the programme. Encouraged by the positive response, officials said the app will soon expand to cover darshan slot bookings, prasadam purchases, parking, annadanam contributions, satram donations, and various sevas. The temple has been witnessing a steady rise in footfall—around 15,000 devotees on weekdays, surging to 30,000–50,000 during festivals. With many arriving without prior bookings and waiting for hours in queues, the digital system is expected to reduce congestion and improve crowd management.Through the proposed platform, devotees can pre-book darshan slots and order laddu and pulihora prasadam in advance. Computers and infrastructure worth nearly ₹10 lakh have already been donated to support the initiative.Meanwhile, the Bhavani Deeksha Viramana (Dec 11–15) drew an unprecedented turnout. Officials reported 5.27 lakh Bhavani devotees, with total participation expected to cross six lakh including general devotees. Special counters, 19 prasadam outlets, three homa gundams, and riverside bathing points were set up. Nearly 3,000 police personnel worked round the clock to ensure a safe and hassle-free experience.
