Maruti Suzuki has partnered with Bangalore-based startup TRUEAssist Technology to offer a swivel seat option in the WagonR. The retrofitment kit is aimed at senior citizens and persons with disabilities. The swivel seat is available at Maruti Suzuki dealerships as a retrofit kit, which can be installed in new or existing WagonR models. The swivel seat allows for easier ingress and egress without replacing the original seat. It can be installed in about an hour and does not require any structural modifications. According to Maruti Suzuki, the swivel seat kit has been extensively tested at the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) and complies with all safety standards. It also comes with a 3-year warranty. The swivel seat kit will be initially available at 200 Arena dealerships across 11 cities.
