Crucial details about Galaxy S26’s powerful Exynos 2600 chip leak

A few days ago, Samsung formally revealed the name of its next flagship smartphone chip: Exynos 2600. It is expected to be used in some Galaxy S26 series phones, but it hasn’t been launched yet. Ahead of the launch, some crucial details about the Exynos 2600 have leaked.

Exynos 2600 CPU and GPU specifications

Smartphone tipster @UniverseIce claims that the Exynos 2600 is fabricated in a 2nm process, likely by Samsung Foundry. It reportedly has a 10-core CPU, featuring a prime CPU core clocked at 3.9GHz, while its three high-performance CPU cores are clocked at 3.25GHz, and its six mid CPU cores are clocked at 2.75GHz. These CPU cores are based on Arm’s new Lumex platform that also offers faster AI performance.

The chip is said to feature an AMD Juno GPU (Xclipse 960), based on the RDNA architecture, and it is clocked at 985MHz. It supports OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 3.0, and Vulkan 1.3 APIs for 2D and 3D graphics. Previous reports showed this GPU outperforming the latest Snapdragon chip’s Adreno 840 GPU, but the end result could be different.

The Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26+ are expected to use the Exynos 2600 in all countries except for Canada, China, and the USA. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will likely use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 globally.

It remains to be seen if Samsung’s upcoming chip can match the Apple A19 Pro, Dimensity 9500, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in terms of performance and efficiency. In the past, Exynos chips have consumed more power and generated more heat than rival chips. Reports claim that Samsung has solved those issues with its Heat Path Block technology.
