Fresh case against YSRCP leader Vamsi

Vijayawada: Another criminal case was registered against YSRCP leader and former Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi, adding to his growing list of legal troubles. The latest case was booked at Machavaram Police Station in Vijayawada based on a complaint filed by a man identified as Sunil.In his complaint, Sunil alleged that in July last year, Vamsi, along with his followers, threatened and physically attacked him. Acting on the complaint, police registered a case against the former MLA under various sections of law and began an investigation into the incident.Sources said statements are being collected, and the role of each accused is being examined as part of the probe. Meanwhile, Vallabhaneni Vamsi moved a bail petition in connection with the latest case, which is likely to come up for hearing soon.Vamsi is already facing trial in multiple criminal cases. He was earlier arrested and remanded to judicial custody in the sensational kidnapping case of Dalit youth Satyavardhan, which triggered widespread political and social outrage. That case is still under trial.
