BHPian vigsom recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Quote from BHPian paragsachania:After 12 years of absolutely fuss-free ownership where the Ertiga clocked 298,000 km on the odometer, we finally bid adieu to our faithful companion 2 weeks ago.1. My first meeting with India’s most loved Ertiga was back in end-2021 when our champion driver was driving from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad, and onward. I invited him to take a break at my place in Vadodara. Trust me, I eagerly awaited the man and the machine, and even went out to the road several minutes before his scheduled arrival to welcome the duo! Post that meeting, I met the duo at the highway on Vadodara outer when he was returning to base 2. Fast forward to 2024 – I had three outings for this car – to help the boss with some technical diagnosis. a. first was to help the master diagnose a weird clang that would present itself at certain rpms; many theories floated, including a faulty clutch, but the solution was eventually found, and am sure Parag will revert with the order of diagnosis with more details b. After the AC compressor was replaced, Parag complained of below par cooling. I reached him and charged some refrigerant in the system despite the low pressure line showing good enough indications of a good refrigerant charge c. One more trip for another diagnosis which ended inconclusive What I admire about Parag is his association with his machine, him not being influenced to go in for an upgrade, and always showing energy and passion to sort issues out. I’m happy to have been his technical partner here! Sharing some pics from my outings with the brown 5728. First meeting at Vadodara – 2021; an all tbhp meet Meeting 5728 and the boss on the sidelines of NH48 at Vadodara bypass Diagnosing the weird clanging noise Me under the car trying to find what was wrong; I compared the clearance between the catcon and the compressor, compared the same set up with a diesel Dzire, and did find an issue, but the eventual culprit was the alternator pulley Going up New clutch Tall boy with the taller boy Everytime, Parag would send a big Thank You note, which again felt straight from the heart Check outBHPian commentsfor more insights and information.
