Vijayawada: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu left for New Delhi on Thursday evening after the conclusion of the fifth edition of collectors’ conference in Amaravati. The CM will meet six Union ministers on Friday to discuss various issues and central support for ongoing and newly proposed developmental projects across the state. Naidu is scheduled to meet Union home minister Amit Shah, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari, Jal Shakti minister C R Patil, petroleum minister Hardeep Singh Puri, and shipping minister Sarbananda Sonowal.While the discussions with Shah and Sitharaman will be on additional financial support to the state, Naidu will discuss various projects taken up in the development of ports, petrochemical industries, national highway development, ongoing works of Polavaram, and the proposed Nallamala Sagar link project with the respective Union ministers. He is seeking to prioritise the projects in Andhra Pradesh given the strategic importance of each project, which will contribute to the GDP of the country. The chief minister will return to Amaravati on Friday night, and will participate in the ‘Swarna Andhra-Swachha Andhra’ programme, which is conducted every third Saturday of the month, in Anakapalli district. He is also scheduled to unveil a bronze statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Anakapalli. He will also attend a Praja Vedika meeting and meet TDP cadres in Tallapalem village.
