Several workers had a narrow escape after a massive fire broke out at the workers’ sheds near a construction site in Chandanagar on Thursday (December 18, 2025). No casualties or injuries were reported.
According to an official from the Fire Control, a distress call was receivedat 11.48 a.m., following which three fire tenders from Madhapur, Vattinagulapally and Patancheru were rushed to the spot. The blaze was brought under control soon after. Officials said the labourers escaped unharmed as they had already left for work at the construction site when the fire broke out.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the fire was triggered by a gas cylinder leak in one of the sheds. Four sheds were completely gutted in the incident.
A case has been booked and further investigation is underway.
