Thalapathy Vijay’s last film, Jana Nayagan, is scheduled for a massive release on January 9, 2026, during the Pongal season. Directed by H. Vinoth, the political action drama is based on the Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari. The second single Oru Pere Varalaaru which was released recently has met with a good response.
The latest update reveals that Zee Network bagged the satellite rights of this big-ticket entertainer for a solid price. It’s worth noting that Vijay’s previous film The GOAT’s satellite rights were also grabbed by Zee Network. The advance bookings commenced on a very good note in the USA and UK, and the trade pundits are expecting a record breaking opening for Jana Nayagan.
Pooja Hegde plays the female lead, while Mamitha Baiju will be seen in a crucial role. Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, and Narain appear in supporting roles. Venkat K. Narayana of KVN Productions is backing this biggie. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the tunes.
