HYDERABAD: Telangana high court on Friday directed the state govt to immediately initiate the process of granting pension to former high court judge Justice G Sridevi and to place details on record by the next hearing on Jan 5, 2026. Justice Sridevi retired in Oct 2022 and moved the court after the pension process was not initiated even three years later. Her counsel termed the delay illegal and arbitrary, seeking pension, arrears with interest and consequential benefits. A division bench ordered immediate commencement of the process and sought a status report.
