Roshan Meka, who will be seen as the lead in “Champion” directed by Pradeep Advaitam, is gearing up for the film’s release this Christmas (December 25, 2025). Despite tasting success early in his career with K Raghavendra Rao’s “Pelli SandaD”, Roshan chose not to sign back-to-back projects and instead waited to return as a full-fledged lead actor.
Meanwhile, his “Pelli SandaD” co-star Sreeleela went on to become one of the most sought-after actresses in Telugu cinema. When asked whether they are still in touch, Roshan clarified that their friendship remains strong.
“She’s a good friend of mine. We regularly talk on the phone. I’m very happy that her career is progressing wonderfully,” Roshan said.
Speaking about “Champion,” Roshan shared what audiences can expect from the film. “It has a lot of strong human emotions. The emotions have been portrayed beautifully in Champion, and they will connect with everyone,” he added.
The actor also revealed that he does not intend to take long breaks between projects going forward. Son of actors Srikanth and Ooha, Roshan said an announcement about his next film will be made soon.
“This time, I’m planning to do at least three films over the next two years without much of a gap,” he concluded.
