All the notable Telugu films of 2025 have arrived in theatres. So, it is time to rewind and take a look at the movies that grossed huge amounts, became hits, or ended up as average performers.
This list focuses on films that were successful or those that suffered only marginal losses. A separate list of major flops will follow. (#Tollywood2025)
AND: The Highest-Grossing Film of 2025
Pawan Kalyan-starrer “AND” has emerged as the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year, with a worldwide gross of ₹295 crore. It is the only Telugu film in 2025 that came close to the ₹300 crore mark.
While the Tamil, Bollywood, and Kannada film industries delivered films that crossed ₹500 crore this year, the Telugu film industry barely managed a film nearing ₹300 crore.
Riding high on massive hype, this gangster drama directed by Sujeeth clicked big time in the Telugu states as well as North America. Although not all distributors made profits due to high acquisition costs, the film’s overall gross remains the highest of the year and also marks Pawan Kalyan’s career-best collection.
Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam: Second Biggest Hit of 2025
Starring Venkatesh and directed by Anil Ravipudi, “Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam” emerged as a sensational Sankranthi 2025 winner. Despite not having a pan-India release, the film grossed around ₹255 crore worldwide, making it the second biggest hit of 2025.
It also became the highest-grossing film in Venkatesh’s career and revived Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.
Mirai: The Third Biggest Hit
Teja Sajja continued his success streak after “Hanu Man” by scoring another major hit with “Mirai.” The big-budget film turned out to be the third highest-grossing Telugu movie of 2025.
Directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni, the film’s blend of supernatural elements and Sanatana Dharma resonated strongly with audiences. Made on a budget of ₹60 crore, “Mirai” collected over ₹140 crore worldwide.
