While she did not taste box office success with any of her three Hindi releases — Param Sundari, Homebound, and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari — Janhvi Kapoor continues to win awards and is on the cusp of gaining global recognition. She played the female lead in director Neeraj Ghaywan’s “Homebound,” which has been shortlisted for consideration in the Best International Feature Film category at the Oscars.
If the film moves a step further and secures a spot among the final five nominees, it would significantly boost her global appeal. She also won an award at the recent NDTV Indian of the Year 2025 awards.
Reacting to her photo holding the award trophy, Janhvi Kapoor’s rumoured boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya, congratulated her with a message. “So proud of you (heart emoji,” he wrote.
Janhvi Kapoor will next be seen in the Telugu film “Peddi.” She plays the love interest of Ram Charan in this sports action drama, which is set for release on March 27, 2026.
