Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has dismissed petitions challenging the appointment of DGP Shivadhar Reddy, thereby refusing to cancel his posting.
However, the court issued a directive to the state government: it must submit a panel list of eligible DGPs to the UPSC within two weeks, strictly adhering to the selection and appointment norms set by the Supreme Court.
The court also ordered the government to file a counter-affidavit after the panel is forwarded to the UPSC. The next hearing for the case is scheduled for January 20.
