Principal’s orders senior students to beat Class 7 boy at Hyderabad govt school; booked

HYDERABAD: A criminal case was registered against a government school principal in Kompally after he allegedly made four Class 10 students beat up a Class 7 boy on Monday.The victim, who suffered bruises on his back, informed his parents, who lodged a criminal complaint against the school principal. Police subsequently registered a case.According to authorities, the headmaster grew suspicious of the boy for allegedly deflating tyres of bicycles in the school’s parking area and reportedly instructed the tenth-grade students to beat him.The boy sustained injuries on his back, and his mother lodged a complaint, following which a case was registered against the headmaster under the relevant sections of the BNS and the Juvenile Justice Act, a police official from Pet Basheerabad police station said.The case is currently under investigation, police added.(With agency inputs)
