Hyderabad: Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender on Wednesday addressed rumours about his departure from the Congress by reaffirming that he will remain a Congress MLA. His remarks assume significance as speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar recently declared that the five BRS MLAs who allegedly switched gears to Congress were being considered BRS MLAs only.The speaker pronounced orders rejecting the petitions against MLAs — Dr Tellam Venkata Rao, Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, T Prakash Goud, Gudem Mahipal Reddy and Arekapudi Gandhi. Petitions against Kale Yadaiah, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Sanjay Kumar, Danam Nagender and Kadiyam Srihari are yet to be decided. Nagender, in his address to the media, said, “I don’t know about other MLAs, I am in Congress. Whichever party I am with, that party will triumph.“He also said he was optimistic about Congress and MIM alliance prospects, forecasting a victory with an estimated 300 divisions in their grip. He unveiled plans to embark on an campaigning tour throughout Hyderabad for community connect and to raise awareness about beneficial schemes introduced by the Congress govt.
