The makers of Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi made a bold move by advancing the film’s release from January 14 to January 10, setting up a near-direct clash with Thalapathy Vijay’s farewell film Jana Nayagan. Ever since the announcement, social media has been buzzing with intense fan wars.
According to the latest development, Parasakthi has been referred to the Revising Committee (RC) after the CBFC (Central Board for Film Certification) demanded extensive cuts, particularly in scenes depicting the anti-Hindi agitations that shook Tamil Nadu in the late 1960s.
Will the RC clear the film without major changes? How long will the process take? And could this affect the release plans? These questions are now worrying Sivakarthikeyan fans, with clarity expected only in the coming days. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film stars Sreeleela as the female lead, while Ravi Mohan plays the antagonist.
