Telangana continues to record single digit temperatures

Various parts of Telangana continue to record single digit temperatures, though cold wave alert has not been in effect for the past few days. India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its bulletin on Thursday (December 25) said that the minimum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 3°C to 4°C, at isolated pockets during the next two days.

The lowest of 6.9°C was recorded in Tiryani of Kumaram Bheem Asifabad between Wednesday and Thursday morning, according to Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS). This was followed by 7.4°C in Kohir of Sangareddy and 8.5°C in Moinabad of Ranga Reddy. The lowest temperature recorded this winter so far was 4.5°C from December 20 to 22. The TGDPS Meteorologists earlier said that the cold conditions are likely to ease in the State by December 27.
