Days after announcing the appointment of a new Director (Life Sciences), the Telangana government on Friday said that incumbent Shakthi M. Nagappan will continue in his current role till March 2026.
“Recognising the need for continuity, institutional stability and sustained momentum, Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu requested Mr. Nagappan to continue in his current role until the end of March 2026,” the Minister’s office said on Friday. Post March, Mr. Nagappan will continue to support the Minister as an Advisor in an honorary capacity.
The transition has been necessitated following the request of Mr. Nagappan, who is, besides being Director (Life Sciences), also CEO of Telangana Lifesciences Foundation, to step down to pursue entrepreneurial initiatives.
