The homegrown SUV market has dropped yet another teaser of the upcoming Mahindra XUV 7XO (XUV700 facelift) prior to its official debut on 5th January, 2026. The latest teaser reveals several key features of the SUV including a 540-degree camera and an in-car theatre mode with BYOD support for the rear seat passengers.

Feature Highlights

The 540-degree camera is an advanced surround-view system, offering a complete view of the vehicle’s surroundings and underneath it. This setup consists of multiple cameras positioned at the front, rear and on the side mirrors, whose feeds are stitched together using software to create a single surround view. The SUV will also come with a new ADAS (autonomous driving assistance system) visualisation, which offers real-time graphical representation of active driver assistance systems.

The in-car theatre mode is yet another key feature confirmed via the new teaser. It supports BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) functionality, enabling users to connect and use their own smartphones or devices as part of the car’s infotainment system, running on Mahindra’s Adrenox+ software. Additionally, the Mahindra XUV 7XO will offer triple screens, a new two-spoke steering wheel with black and tan finish, a wireless phone charger, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, multiple airbags and several advanced features.

Improved Styling

Previous teasers have confirm that the Mahindra XUV 7XO will borrow multiple design elements from the XEV 9S such as the dual-pod LED projector headlamps, LED taillamps with pixel-style elements, new alloy wheels.

Same Engines

Mechanically, the new Mahindra XUV7XO (XUV700 facelift) will remain unchanged. The SUV will continue to use the 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L diesel engines, generating power worth 200PS with 380Nm and up to 185PS with up to 450Nm. Both engines will be available with 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options.

Booking, Launch & Rivals

The updated XUV700 or XUV7XO is scheduled to be unveiled on 5th January 2026, followed shortly by its market launch. Prices of the base variants are likely to remain largely similar to the current model, while the top-end variants are expected to see a minor price hike. The Mahindra XUV7XO will continue to compete with the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.
