Mahindra has been teasing its upcoming XUV 7XO (XUV 700 facelift) SUV ahead of its launch on January 5, 2026. Some elements of the SUV’s exterior design and cabin have already been glimpsed, and the new teaser now confirms some additional features that were not seen before.

The most notable feature shown in the new teaser is the new 540-degree camera. This advanced system uses the front camera to visualize the road surface and obstacles below the vehicle. Users can also opt for a ‘four-corner’ display mode, which shows a camera feed from all four corners of the SUV – a useful feature when driving in tight spaces.

Additionally, we also get a glimpse of the streaming capabilities of a third display dedicated to the front passenger. Like the We also get to see new graphics for the Level 2 ADAS system located in the instrument cluster. The new teaser also confirms the name of a variant – AX7 L – suggesting that the variant name may remain unchanged, although recently revealed spy photos suggest that a new AX9 trim may also arrive.

Other features already confirmed in the teaser include projector LED headlights, a triple screen display, a powered Boss mode, a panoramic sunroof, drive modes, multi-zone climate control and ambient lighting.
Engine-wise, Mahindra is unlikely to make any changes to the 7XO; It is expected to retain the already reliable 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines. Both engines will be available with manual and automatic gearbox options, and the most expensive diesel variant will also get the option of all-wheel drive.

The 7XO will face competition from the likes of Tata Harrier and Safari, MG Hector and Hector Plus as well as Hyundai Alcazar and Jeep Compass and Meridian.
