Prabhas-starrer “The Raja Saab” announced its Sankranthi 2026 release plans long ago and has stayed on course with promotions so far. The makers have unveiled a trailer, teasers, and two songs, and are also planning a grand pre-release event in Hyderabad soon.
Despite this steady promotional activity, murmurs within Film Nagar suggest that certain issues related to the film are yet to be fully resolved.
At this stage, it is important for the makers to issue clear communication stating that there are no pending hurdles affecting the film’s smooth release. Any last-minute glitches could not only prove embarrassing for the production house but also reflect poorly on the Telugu film industry, especially at the very beginning of 2026.
For now, promotions are progressing as planned, with the team preparing for the announced release date of January 9, 2026. However, the real hype and aggressive publicity are expected to kick in only after the first week of January.
Directed by Maruthi and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, The Raja Saab features Prabhas in the titular role. The film stars Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Malavika Mohanan as the female leads, with music composed by Thaman.
