BHPian Shutter_art recently shared this with other enthusiasts: I’ve been a watch aficionado since my school days, got my first watch in 8th grade from my Father, it was a Fastrack and having itself was so cool back in School days. I so loved the square watch that I graduated with it. Joined Tata Motors in 2016 and got myself two gifts, a Nikon D5200 and a Fossil Grant. It remained a daily driver for long. The Leather strap has been very comfortable and it has kept its charm since the time. In the meantime, Smart Watches began catching up the trend and i too sailed with it, got the Honor Watch Magic at first, then Amazfit GTS 2 & Galaxy watch 4 and then soon got bored with all the features and vibrations on the wrist. The exquisiteness was missing and the itch of getting a Mechanical watch caught up. Then somewhere in 2021, I got the Skagen Holst, the mechanical see-though and the strap was often an attention grabber. It remained the daily driver with occasional times for Fossil Grant. Fast forward, I got gifted the Swatch Jelly watch from my Wife and for sure it is a looker and has grabbed eyes with many people asking about it. Since it is silicon based, the daily use is a bit difficult for it catching up the yellows. So Skagen remained the daily driver with Swatch joining the funk and party times. Fossil by now had slipped into the corner seat. My wife surprised me again with a Mathey Tissot, the vibrant emerald is pure elegance, the case is thin and so light. It often makes a space on my wrist whenever i seek a splash of vibrance. Recently my dad gifted me a Seiko 5 sports “Time-Sonar” on my birthday. The translucent turquoise dial is fancy and elegant. The case on paper sounds large but is very ergonomic. This has become a new daily driver majorly because of mechanical magnificence. . I’ve always loved the Tissot PRX and its next on the cards.
