Vijayawada: The three-man committee constituted for the resolution of capital region issues faced the ire of Amaravati farmers after the death of Dondapati Rama Rao from Mandadam, who collapsed while participating in the meeting with the committee on Friday evening.When Union minister Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, Tadikonda MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar, and municipal administration minister P Narayana went to pay their respects to the departed soul on Saturday, his family members and villagers shouted slogans blaming the committee for the death. On Friday, Narayana, along with Sravan and CRDA officials, held a meeting with Mandadam villagers to discuss a new alignment for N8 road. Rama Rao collapsed minutes after he spoke about the compensation to be paid to those who are losing house sites. He was rushed to a hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead. Capital region farmers have been expressing their displeasure over pending issues in Amaravati, especially pertaining to the plots given in the lands yet to be acquired, the compensation package for houses lost for roads, and the plots given in water bodies and low-lying areas.Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu held meetings with the farmers and assured them that the three-man committee would resolve all issues. However, the farmers continue to express their displeasure with the committee for non-resolution of pending issues. Meanwhile, the CM also spoke to the family members of Rama Rao and assured them of all help from the govt.
