Hyderabad: Amanpreet, the brother of a prominent actress, has reportedly gone into hiding, according to police sources, marking a new development in the Masab Tank drug case. The Hyderabad police, with the assistance of the Eagle Team, have initiated a search operation to locate him.
This move follows the arrests on December 17 of two businessmen from Troop Bazaar, Nitin Singhania and Shrenik Singhvi. Interrogation of the arrested duo revealed Amanpreet’s alleged involvement, as investigators determined he had purchased drugs from them. Police seized 43 grams of cocaine and MDMA from the traders.
It is noteworthy that Amanpreet was also previously arrested by Cyberabad police last year in a separate drug-related incident. Meanwhile, officials have disclosed that four additional individuals are implicated in supplying drugs to Singhania and Singhvi. The investigation is continuing to identify the full network operating the drug racket.
