Nissan’s upcoming Gravity MPV has been spotted testing once again ahead of its global launch next month. The Gravitas, which shares its base with the Renault Triber, will target the MPV market in the budget segment and will be an affordable alternative to cars like the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Kia Carenza Clavis. The Gravitas is the first of three new models for the Indian market. After the MPV, an all-new Tecton compact SUV will be launched in 2026 and a larger three-row SUV in 2027.

The spy shots confirm several design elements recently introduced by Nissan. At the front, you get a big cheese grater-style grille flanked by swept-back projector headlamps with LED eyebrows. At the bottom, the bumper features a rectangular center air vent along with faux side vents for the fog lamps. Despite being completely covered, a portion of the C-shaped trim elements on the bumper are also visible.

At the same time, the rear design seems to be in line with the new Triber. Recently released images also confirm that the tail lamps are also unchanged from Renault’s rebadged model – featuring LED light guides – although the Gravitas has been given a slightly more square-shaped rear bumper to give it a slightly more imposing presence on the road.
Inside the cabin, the Gravitas is expected to have a similar cabin layout to the Triber, with three rows of seats, including a removable third row and a second row that can be slid back and forth to create space inside the cabin. However, Nissan may consider redesigning the dashboard of the Gravitas compared to the new Triber to give the MPV a more distinct character.

Talking about mechanical specifications, the Gravity is expected to get a 1.0 liter naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine like the Triber, which will produce 71 bhp power and 96 Nm torque. Gearbox options are likely to include a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. CNG option can also be made available.
