The results of the much-awaited Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) elections have been announced. The Progressive Panel, led by producer Suresh Babu Daggubati, has emerged victorious with a clear majority and will now take charge of the Chamber.
The panel has secured all key posts, including President, Vice President and Secretary.
Sector-Wise Results
Elections were held to choose Executive Committee members from four sectors: Producers, Studio, Exhibitors and Distribution.
Producers Sector:
A close contest was seen in this segment. The Mana Panel won 7 seats, while the Progressive Panel secured 5.
Studio Sector:
The Mana Panel continued its good showing here, winning 3 seats. The Progressive Panel managed to win 1 seat.
Exhibitors Sector:
This sector proved to be the turning point. The Progressive Panel recorded a big win by securing 14 seats, while the Mana Panel could manage only 2.
Distribution Sector:
Out of the 12 EC posts, the Progressive Panel won 8 seats, while the Mana Panel secured 3. One seat ended in a tie.
Overall EC Strength
Out of a total of 44 Executive Committee positions, the Progressive Panel won 28 seats, giving it a comfortable majority. The Mana Panel finished with 15 seats.
New Executive Committee
With the numbers firmly in its favour, all key posts in the new executive body have gone to the Progressive Panel. The office bearers are:
President: Suresh Babu Daggubati
Vice Presidents: Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, Bharath Chowdary, Gemini Kiran
Secretary: Check out Ashok Kumar
Joint Secretaries: Mohan Vadlapati, Vijayender Reddy
Treasurer: Muthyala Ramadasu
The newly elected body will steer the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce for the next two years.
