Installed the CPMC wireless AA & AC adapter in my Hycross: Quick review

Installed the CPMC wireless AA & AC adapter in my Hycross: Quick review BHPian dkaile recently shared this with other enthusiasts: CPMC/Carlinkit Wireless Android Auto / CarPlay Adapter – Mini Ultra – 30-12-2025 – Just when I thought that these CarPlay/AA Adapters couldn’t get any smaller, I received this CPMC Android Auto / CarPlay Adapter called the Mini Ultra – CPMC guys are marketing this as a Carplay Adapter for Motorcycles and is supposedly fully compatible with all bikes with inbuilt Carplay, which are quite rare and I have seen bikes with Carplay in some high-end Honda bikes only. Even my BMW R1250GS does not have inbuilt Carplay/Android Auto and needed a separate display which I had reviewed here. So I decided to test this this on my Hycross as it was fully compatible with cars also. The main highlight of this product is it’s ultra compact SIZE. It also has -Dual Core 1Ghz MIPS processor which is supposedly much compact and simpler in architecture than the older Cortex stuff, hence they could fit it into this size.It Has WiFi 5.8 and Bluetooth 5.4 and a power consumption of only 0.75W. It did provide me slightly faster connectivity compared to the older Carlizem one that I had installedCan be OTA updatedCON – The price is nearly double than the one’s floating around in the local market. At nearly 3.5k (after the discount code attached), it’s nearly 1.5k more than the 2k adapters in our market but the Size and Latest Hardware does compensate for it. This is all that it says on it’s packaging – This is all that you get inside the box. It does come bundled with a Type C adapter and a detailed instruction manual – A size comparison with the Carlizem Adapter that I was using till now, and which I though was very small and cute, but that is nearly double the bulk compared to this Mini Ultra, though the glass finish of the Carlizem is better than the plasticky finish on this Mini – A view from the top. Notice the slightly longer USB A port on the Ultra Mini. And the Carlizem one did need a adapter for our Hycross, which I had mentioned in my earlier posts, due to the fact that it got stuck in the curvature in the Hycross. No such issues with the Ultra Mini – The bulk gets exponentially compounded, in comparison, with the adapter attached to the older Carlizem, and this compact footprint is the USP of the Mini Ultra – Here it is attached to the USB A port on the Hycross, without any adapters and bulk. The light is Blue for Android Auto and turns Green for Carplay – The product can be purchased from the link that they sent me here And they offered a discount of 20% on the price to all TeamBhpians, on all their products on the above website, by coupon code – “TeamBhp20” . DISCLAIMER – Kindly buy or use this product at your own discretion. I will highlight points, only that I feel true. And I have NO ECONOMIC INTEREST in the same. A perspective view of it attached to the car (marked by red arrow). Also notice the fantastic RITUALS Car Perfume my son got for the Hycross from Dublin, which costs more than this adapter…Lolz, and it’s brown matches our car interiors – Cheers.
