Vijayawada: Deputy chief minister K Pawan Kalyan will visit the Kondagattu Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple in Jagtial town in Telangana on Saturday. Pawan, along with BR Naidu, the chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam (TTD), will participate in the foundation-laying ceremony for various developmental works being taken up with the funds given by the TTD.Pawan Kalyan will offer prayers to Lord Anjaneya, whom he described as his Ishta Daivam. He vowed to visit the temple if he won the election. During his visit to the temple after the elections to fulfil his vows, the temple officials and priests explained the issues faced by devotees travelling from distant places because of a lack of facilities.Temple authorities sought a Deeksha Viramana Mandapam and a pilgrims’ rest house with rooms. Pawan proposed the works with TTD support and took the matter to chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He also discussed the issue with TTD Chairman BR Naidu, following which the TTD Board sanctioned Rs 35.19 crore, and the funds will be used to construct a Deeksha Viramana Mandapam and a 96-room pilgrims’ rest house.The mandapam is designed to accommodate about 2,000 devotees at a time for deeksha completion rituals. After the temple programme, Pawan will meet Jana Sena Party leaders and cadres from Telangana, and representatives who won the Telangana panchayat elections with Jana Sena support.
