Ram Charan’s Peddi is among the most awaited Telugu releases of 2026, with the film scheduled to arrive in theatres on March 27, coinciding with the Ram Navami festival. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the rural action drama features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and carries high expectations.
As the New Year began, several film teams marked the occasion with fresh posters and promotional updates. However, the makers of Peddi chose a low-key approach, limiting themselves to a greeting message without releasing any new visuals. This decision did not go down well with a section of fans, who were hoping for at least a small promotional push.
The discussion gained momentum as Nani’s The Paradise, which is set to release a day before Peddi, marked the New Year with a special poster and continued to stay in the spotlight. This contrast in promotional approach led to online comparisons, with fans questioning why Peddi skipped a special visual despite the growing anticipation around the film.
According to industry talk, the team is currently focusing on the film’s second single. The first song, “Chikiri Chikiri,” turned out to be a chartbuster, encouraging the makers to be cautious with the follow-up. The second song is expected to be released around the Sankranti period. Music for the film is composed by A R Rahman, adding to the strong buzz around the project.
