Telangana Housing Board to auction ‘stray pieces’ of land ranging from 30 sq. yards to 272 sq. yards in Hyderabad’s KPHB Colony on January 24


Telangana Housing Board will auction ‘stray pieces’ of land in Kukatpally Housing Board (KPHB) Colony on Friday. The board’s Vice-Chairman and Housing Commissioner V.P. Gautham said that only those plots which are located between houses, which cannot be put to use for Housing Board’s house construction schemes, are put up for auction. The official urged people to utilise this as the plots are located in well-developed areas. 

According to the information provided by the officials, 24 plots are located in KPHB Colony’s Phase-V, VII, IX, XV. The extent of the plots range from 30 square yards to 272.22 square yards. The price ranges from ₹80,000 to ₹1.25 lakh per square yard. The auction would be held at Housing Board Community Hall, Phase I and II,  KPHB Colony near Temple Bus Stop, Medchal-Malkajgiri at 11 a.m. of Friday (January 24, 2025).

Those interested have to draw a Demand Draft (DD) of ₹1 lakh from any national bank, in the name of ‘Director (EDS), E-Seva, ℅ EE (Hg), WD, TGHB’, The DD has to be submitted before 11 a.m. of Friday. 

The amount generated from the auctions would be utilised for Low Income Group (LIG) and High Income Group (HIG) houses construction to be taken up by the Board, said Mr. Gautham.
