Stalin Invites South Leaders, CMs; What’s Up?

Tamil Nadu CM and DMK chief MK Stalin is waging a war with the centre. While fighting against the centre over Hindi imposition and three language implementation row, Stalin is now vehemently opposing the delimitation. In order to intensify the fight further, Stalin has called upon all the prominent leaders of South and east including West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, former CM YS Jagan, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, ex CM KCR, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Odisha’s Naveen Patnaik to attend the meeting on Delimitation on March 22.

Stalin wrote a letter to the leaders in which he stressed the impact of delimitation and questioned the process of delimitation on southern and eastern states.

“The issue is not whether Delimitation will happen, the issue is how it will happen,” said Stalin. Looks like, Stalin is very serious on the issue and leaving no stone unturned to corner the ruling NDA. He wants to form a Joint Action Committee (JAC) for fair representation in Parliament.

Stalin wants the JAC with Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, West Bengal and Odisha. Further, Stalin wanted each party to nominate a senior representative to coordinate with other leaders in the JAC and formulate a collective action plan. Stalin stresses that the issue of delimitation is not regional but national, affecting the future of all states.

Now all eyes are on whether AP CM Chandrababu would attend this meeting or not. Considering that Naidu is not just part of NDA but also playing a crucial role, it is highly unlikely that he would attend the meeting.
