Ace Indian pugilist from Hyderabad, Nikhat Zareenreceived acclaims from top politicians, police officers and others in Telangana after she won a gold in the World Boxing Cup Finals (51 kg category) held in Greater Noida on Thursday (November 21, 2025). She dominated with a 5-0 win over World quaterfinalist Guo Yi Xuan.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that she has once again brought immense pride to the nation on the international stage. He said that her remarkable achievement will serve as a source of inspiration for youth and aspiring sportspersons to pursue their goals with unwavering determination and confidence.
The State Cabinet in August 2024 decided to allot a 600 sq. yard house site and a Group-I level post to Ms. Zareen and India cricketer Md. Siraj. She joined Telangana Police department as Deputy Superintendent of Police in September 2024.
Congratulating Ms. Zareen on her victory, Director General of Police, B. Shivadhar Reddy, said that her dedication, discipline, and exceptional performance have brought immense pride to the Telangana Police and wished continued excellence in the future.
Union Minister from Telangana and Bharatiya Janata Party leader, G. Kishan Reddy, said that her outstanding performance continues to inspire every Indian. “You’ve made the nation proud once again. India celebrates your grit, talent and determination,” he said.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president, K.T. Rama Rao said that her relentless hard work and indomitable spirit continue to make India and Telangana proud. “You are an inspiration to countless young girls who dare to dream big,” said KTR.
Telangana Jagruthi founder, K. Kavitha, wished Ms. Zareen more glorious victories in the years ahead.
