- Appeal to treat MLCs as MLAs
Andhra Pradesh: An interesting discussion was held in the council on TTD letters. MLCs Lakshmana Rao, Ravindra and Venkateswara Rao requested that MLCs should be treated as MLAs. The MLCs claimed that till now 6 people have been given permission to visit the letter for four days. The MLCs asked to give permission for darshan to 10 people per letter for six days in a week. The MLCs demanded that the appropriate TTD officials give them respect at par with the MLAs. Chairman of the council Moshen Raju said that it is a council of elders and should ask more than the MLAs. Minister Anam said in the House that he too was in trouble regarding the TTD letters. He disclosed on this occasion that he had the experience of not giving permission to his letter in the last year of the previous government. The minister replied that he would talk to the CM and take a decision on the issue raised by the members on the TTD letters.

Earlier, Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy gave an answer during the discussion in the council on irregularities in TTD. Vigilance enforcement has been ordered to investigate the irregularities in TTD. It has been revealed that the preliminary report has been received.. The investigation is currently underway. Actions will be taken against officials and non-officials after the full report. The minister said that there have been allegations of many irregularities in TTD in the last five years. He said that 1300 crores of income has been received through Srivani Trust.. 1000 crores have been deposited in banks. Rs.300 crores have been allocated for the reconstruction of Govindaraju Satram. He said that the tenders in these works are also known to have flaws. It is alleged that the management of swims and birds hospitals has also been abandoned. He said that ganja and political slogans were rampant in the sacred TTD.
